Chapter 7, Season 4

The end date shown above comes from Epic's own live content service, so it moves when Epic moves it. Epic has delayed a season end more than once — usually to extend an event — so treat the date as the current plan rather than a promise, and check back near the end of the season.

Most recent seasons have run roughly two to three months. Epic doesn't commit to a fixed length, and chapter-ending seasons in particular have been stretched to line up with a live event, so the only reliable number for the current season is the end date Epic is publishing right now.

The Battle Pass closes and its remaining rewards stop being claimable, ranked resets, and the map and loot pool usually change with the new season. Cosmetics you already unlocked stay in your locker permanently — ending a season never removes items from an account.

You keep everything you actually unlocked. What you lose is the chance to unlock the rest: once the season closes, the tiers you didn't reach are gone, and Epic has never returned an exclusive Battle Pass item to the item shop afterwards.

In practice the next season begins when the current one ends, usually after a short downtime for the update — often a few hours, occasionally longer when a chapter changes. We don't publish a start time for the next season until Epic's own service exposes one.

The chapter and season shown at the top of this page are read directly from Epic's live service on every rebuild, so they change as soon as Epic flips them rather than when someone updates a page by hand.
