What Time Does the Fortnite Item Shop Reset?

The Fortnite item shop rotates at 00:00 UTC every single day. It's one of the few things in Fortnite with a genuinely fixed schedule — no downtime, no patch required, no variation between platforms.

The reset time where you are

00:00 UTC is 1am in the UK during British Summer Time and midnight in winter. In continental Europe it's 1am or 2am depending on the season.

In North America the reset lands the previous evening: 8pm Eastern and 5pm Pacific, shifting by an hour with daylight saving.

Our item shop page shows a live countdown to the next rotation, which avoids the timezone arithmetic entirely.

What actually changes

Some offers leave, some arrive, and many stay for several days. The shop is not fully replaced each night — most rotations change only part of it.

Epic stamps every offer with an end date, so what's leaving is knowable in advance rather than guessed. Our item shop page shows how long each offer has left and lists what rotates out next.

What's arriving is not knowable in advance from any public source. Sites publishing tomorrow's shop are predicting, usually from leaks and rotation patterns.

If an item leaves before you buy it

Item shop cosmetics generally return eventually, though Epic publishes no schedule and the gap can be days or years.

Battle pass rewards and promotional items are the exception — those typically never appear in the shop at all.

Refunds exist but are limited. Epic gives accounts a small number of refund tokens, and they don't apply to everything.

Common questions

Does the Fortnite shop reset at the same time worldwide?

Yes. It rotates at 00:00 UTC, which is the same instant everywhere — only the local clock time differs.

Is there downtime when the shop resets?

No. The shop rotation is separate from patch downtime and happens without taking the game offline.

Can you see tomorrow's item shop?

Not from any official source. What's leaving is published by Epic; what's arriving is not, so any site showing tomorrow's shop is predicting it.
